Much of the impetus for making A Train Near Magdeburg comes from the warm international reception to The 5 Stones Group film Searching for Augusta – The Forgotten Angel of Bastogne. This Emmy-Award-winning film touched the hearts of millions worldwide, and it moved its director, Michael Edwards, to create this nonprofit organization that could support the production of more films like Searching for Augusta — true stories of extraordinary courage and compassion with the power to change people’s lives for the better. And the next film supported by this Foundation will be A Train Near Magdeburg.
