Matthew Rozell

MATTHEW A. ROZELL is an award-winning history teacher, author, blogger, and speaker. 

He is known around the world as the author of the book A Train Near Magdeburg and as the creator and keeper of the remarkable website https://teachinghistorymatters.com.

Rozell has been featured as the ABC World News ‘Person of the Week’ and has had his work filmed for CBS News, NBC Learn, the Israeli Broadcast Authority, the New York State United Teachers, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

The New York State Education Department’ has presented Rozell with the Yavner Teaching Award for Distinguished Contributions to Teaching the Holocaust and Human Rights.

 

The Greater Glens Falls Jewish Community declared Rozell to be a “Righteous Human Being,” complete with a tree planted in his honor and this handsome stone, both marking his place in the history and hearts of that community.
